Haha...for the First day of Raya and my B`day.......i went to this art exhibition wif who else but may ching. Seriously la, she is like the only person that i`ve met so far that enjoys art exhibits as much as i do. So happy that i`ve found a partner in crime.Muahkuakuakua.

Ok la, back to topic.Basicly, it`s an art exhibition but unlike the usual location at an art gallery this one is held in containers.Yup, the one that holds cargo and is carried across oceans on ships. So they kumpul this containers at a place called Kobe Meriken Park and held this lovely affair.By the way, entrance fee for students is at a mere 500yen and is so totally worth it.

This exhibition is so SUPER KENG and I TOTALLY LOVE every single minute of it.All the exhibits are top notch as they totally have a message to send across and it can totally twist, turn, churn and provoke ur mind.Every single thing has a meaning and its so COOL and FUN to dechiper it.Moreover, it`s not only art that you look at its art that you experience as you can interact wif it.Try imagining stepping into a painting and looking around you and touching the artist vision then, you`ll kinda get what i mean. The emphasis is on the interaction of three things (the exhibit, the space and the onlooker). The container in this case is the space and the artist has to create an artwork that enables the onlooker to experience the space and their vision. All this works simultaneously to create a mindblowing effect. But, enough wif words.....pics tell it better. So check them out in the album.
Among the ones that I totally dig would be: (in no order whatsoever)
# The Piggy --- Lots of wax piggy figurines are lined along the side of the container leading to the "womb".Which contains jumbled up piggys laying helter skelter and some stuck to the walls.A pink and cute OR very sick and sore sight to remind us of cruelty we inflict on animals just to satisfy ur cravings Depending on how u want to look at it
# Vaporization --- Water is dripped into either concave or convex metal disc and in the concave ones the water gets collected while, in the convex ones the water vaporizes.Meanwhile, rust develops as the metal oxidizes.Depends on how you look at it, it can signify many things.Personally, I think the water is like chance, they come but it depends on u to grab it or let it fade away. And no matter what, traces of it will remain.Hehe....what do u think?
#Scary Doors --- This one totally freaked me out.Summore it was nightfall by then.Went into this darkened room and the light bulb lighted up illuminating this wooden door wif a glass window. Then, the room darkens (scary music can be heard) as the room beyond the door lights up and this keeps repeating itself until the last door....we see a mirror in the wooden door`s glass window.AAaarrRrgGGggh!!!!!!......(then we quickly ran out)
# Antz --- This one is cool. One side of the container is lined wif white worker antz each carrying a leaf walking back to their hive.We follow this diligent beings and lo behold the HIVE.........an unearthly green cave with stg that looks like a stalactite and stalagmite made of leaf and antz as the focal point and there were some antz stuck to the celling too.
ok la....thats it. Gotta go rest my tired out legs. OUT.
